The program's participants, including Barclays, Lloyds, Citigroup, Mastercard, and Visa, aim to use cryptocurrency and blockchain for tracking financial transactions.

Advancing Banking with Blockchain

The shared ledger project seeks to bridge traditional finance and cryptocurrency. The pilot, driven by Quant, focuses on developing tokenized deposits as a way to advance cross-border transactions, cut fraud, and lower error rates.

Tokenization & Industry Collaboration

Tokenization and the involvement of fintech and technology firms are set to further UK Finance's objectives from July. The initiative aligns with the UK government’s tech group report, emphasizing innovation and cooperation.
