Starknet, an Ethereum rollup, has launched a sizeable airdrop involving the distribution of 728 million STRK tokens to approximately 1.3 million recipients, marking one of the most significant events of its kind this year. After the airdrop, the STRK token experienced notable price volatility, achieving a peak of $5 before settling around $3.50.

Financial Overview of STRK

The total initial supply of STRK amounts to 10 billion tokens, resulting in a fully diluted valuation of $35 billion. In contrast, the actual market capitalization stands at $2.32 billion. Starknet Foundation has reserved over half of STRK's total supply for community-centric initiatives which include airdrops, grants, and donations, while the remainder is allocated among early contributors, employees, and associates.
