Shiba Inu's SHEboshi NFTs: A Leap into ERC-404 Innovation

Shiba Inu's Innovative NFT Adventure

Shiba Inu has introduced a new NFT collection, the ‘SHEboshis’, utilizing the unique ERC-404 token standard. This standard combines features from ERC-721 and ERC-20, enhancing liquidity and enabling fractionalization. Announced on February 20, the SHEboshis were minted on the Ethereum network, with future plans to bridge to Shibarium.

Minting Glitch and Compensation

A minting error temporarily permitted excess NFT acquisition, leading to an apology from developer Kaal Dhairya. To rectify the situation, the number of available SHEboshis has been increased from 12,000 to 20,000, offering another chance for interested minters, particularly LEASH holders after the claim period.

Allocation of Additional Revenue

The accidental oversale yielded 652 ETH, with 50% earmarked for SHIB token burns, charitable donations, and support for the project's liquidity. The remaining funds will bolster operational expenses and advance Shiba Inu's vision of decentralization, including aiding Japanese earthquake relief and blockchain-focused nonprofits.
