Humanity Protocol: A Leap in Identity Verification

Polygon (MATIC) has joined forces with Animoca Brands and The Human Institute to leverage the AI trend, unveiling the Humanity Protocol on Polygon chain Development Kit (CDK). This new initiative seeks to introduce Proof of Humanity with palm recognition technology, a less invasive means of identity verification compared to traditional methods like iris scans.

Innovative Integration of Blockchain and Identity

The protocol, under the leadership of tech entrepreneur Terence Kwok and a council of Founding Humans, integrates effortlessly with blockchain, accessible via smartphones. By using Polygon CDK, it incorporates the Proof of Humanity (PoH) consensus mechanism, enforced with zero-knowledge cryptographic proofs to validate identities securely.

Sybil Resistance and Decentralized Rewards

Animoca Brands' Yat Siu emphasizes Humanity Protocol's user-centric and non-invasive approach, and Polygon’s Nailwal notes its significance in achieving 'true' Sybil resistance. With the Humanity Protocol Testnet, individuals can earn rewards while ushering in a new era for Web3 applications, from games to decentralized infrastructure.
