Ondo Finance Expands USDY Offerings

Ondo Finance, the platform known for tokenizing real-world assets, has announced the integration of its U.S. Treasury-backed product, USDY, into the Layer-1 blockchain network, Aptos. Aptos, a project developed by former Meta employees, is the most recent addition to the networks supporting the availability of USDY—joining Ethereum, Solana, and Mantle.

Strengthening Partnership Assets

The collaboration involves Ondo and the Aptos Foundation, aiming to innovate by merging on-chain assets with real-world asset yields. This initiative intends to enhance the functionality of tokenized assets as well as increase capital efficiency for supporting platforms through the development of novel staking and re-staking procedures.

Liquidity Boost with Thala Integration

Ondo's USDY token will also integrate with Thala, a decentralized finance protocol on Aptos. Thala's automated market maker pools will soon feature USDY, expected to provide improved liquidity for its users. Notably, Thala stands as the largest protocol on Aptos based on total value locked (TVL), with figures supported by DeFiLlama statistics.
