Arrested while visiting relatives on a travel visa, Chirag Tomar, aged 30, could face up to two decades behind bars for his role in this deceitful scheme.

Clever Deception Exposed

The counterfeit Coinbase Pro site devised by Tomar and his accomplices ensnared over 500 unsuspecting victims, tricking them into divulging sensitive login credentials. This criminal act began to unravel when the U.S. Secret Service traced activities back to Tomar, who had carelessly used his own email for communications relating to the scam.
