Cardano's CIP-69 Integration
Charles Hoskinson, the visionary behind Cardano, has confirmed the integration of the Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP) 69 with the forthcoming Chang hard fork. This strategic move aligns with community feedback and meets the requirements set by the Cardano Foundation. Hoskinson engaged with various teams to ensure CIP-69 addresses the community's strong demand and the foundation's advocacy for its inclusion.
Enhancing Smart Contract Usability
CIP-69, developed by Cardano ecosystem developers, aims to refine Plutus smart contract interactions. By standardizing input arguments for different script types—spending, certifying, rewarding, and minting—it simplifies structures, encouraging safer and more robust DApp development. The proposal ultimately resolves the 'mutual dependency issue,' removing a significant obstacle within the current design and offering a streamlined approach for validators.
Cardano's Voltaire Era Approaches
The Chang hard fork, scheduled for the second quarter of the year, signals a pivotal transition for Cardano, ushering in the Voltaire era focused on decentralized governance. This allows community members to actively participate in the project's development trajectory and funding. Chang is comprised of two upgrades facilitating governance functions, advancing from technical groundwork to actual on-chain governance activities.
